I broke my own rule...

I'll make this short and sweet.  First - take a look below at my first blog post on the Witch's Pyramid.

To Know
To Dare
To Will
To Be Silent.  whoopsie

That last one bit me in the arse this week.  I made the mistake of sharing some ideas I have had for the store with a customer.  Next thing I know, it's turned into a "we are doing..." thing.

Um... no.  That's not how it was presented.  And certainly not how it's going to be.

So now here's my rant:  WHY do people not just hush up and listen?  Not only listen, but COMPREHEND the words that are being spoken to them.  What is with this thing I see so much of in the world called "hearing what I want to hear"?  Because that's what I've been up against lately.  People who hear only what they want to hear and then just run with it.  I try to be clear.  I am fairly articulate when I want to be.  Heck, my Grandmother was a school teacher who specialized in the English language - so I had to learn how to speak properly.  Now I'll be the first to admit that I can go street mouth on ya in a New York minute or break into some serious pidgin english when I feel like it.  But when I'm dealing with most people - I'm pretty good about being specific and speaking clearly.

So when words of mine are taken and twisted to benefit someone else's own self-serving needs - I get so mad I want to spew pea soup!  I'll spare you the graphic here... LOL!!  But, I think you get the picture. For those of you who don't - it's said that they used pea soup for Linda Blair's regurgitation scene in the movie The Exorcist.

As usual, Dorothy Morrison has a candle for not only me (as a reminder to Keep Silent), but also for those people who just won't quit spreading pure bullcrap...

'Nuff said.  And yeah, that was my less than perfect grammar! ;-)
